Bids are hereby invited for appointment of a professional service provider to provide a co-sourced internal audit service to the Client for a period of three (03) years. Scope of work: The co-sourced service provider, in consultation with the Directorate: Internal Audit and the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), will provide input for the following: - The rolling three (3)-year strategic IA plan is based on an assessment of key risk areas of the Department with regard to its current operations, the proposed operations in the Department’s strategic plan and its risk management strategy; - The risk-based annual operational IA plan; - Plans indicating the scope, cost and timelines of each audit area are contained in the annual operational plan; - Progress reports to the ARC detailing its performance against the IA plans to allow effective monitoring and intervention; - The co-sourced service provider will ensure that audits, as planned in the IA plan, are performed in line with the department"s Internal Audit methodology and the Institute of Internal Audit standards; - The IA function must coordinate with other internal and external assurance providers to ensure adequate coverage and to minimize duplications.
