Proposals are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of a service provider to undertake Structural Integrity Assessment on an existing building earmarked for Social Housing. Specifications: The work of an appointed service provider will include the following: - Current layout mapping of the building including systems such as plumbing, electrical, and other systems of the building; - Review of the recent desktop report and use this as part of the baseline for the detailed assessment; - Carry out a detailed assessment of the current structure to determine amongst others, the capacity and functionality (including structural soundness) to handle the proposed development objectives such as loading and increase of the unit numbers / yield, conformance to South African National Standards (SANS) regulations. The detailed assessment to include the impact of the fire damage, water ingress, groundwater penetration and provide recommendation; - Assess the current structures" capacity to conform to the Social Housing Norms and Standards including green sustainable solutions such as a functioning borehole; - Provide advice and make recommendations to the SHRA and its stakeholders on the viability of the current structure; - Prepare and present the findings to a project steering committee.
