Bids are hereby invited for the following: Repairs to the seawall at Berth 8 in Island View Precinct, Port of Durban for a period of six (6) months. Specifications: • Remove debris clear site to expose bottom of sea wall and ground level; • Remove unclassified gabions stones (200mm-600mm) hand stone and keep safe to reuse for finish off; • Break concrete above rock to make surface even; • Import G2 crusher run to form an embankment; • Supply and install A10 bidim cloth on top of the fill material; • Install Armor 3 rocks (0.7 - 1.4 Ton) to embankment below water level; • Install unclassified basket gabions stones (200mm - 600mm) hand stone to finish off (Reuse); • The finished surface shall slope at a minimum gradient of 1:60 and shall be free of hollows or depressions to prevent ponding of surface water; • Renew grout and make the finishing look good to match the existing; • At berth 01: Prepare and secure scaffolding, neatly cut to remove/breakout loose flaky material 50mm deep, rebars should be primed and highly corroded bars must be reinstalled where applicable, apply high-build polymer-modified epoxy, reinstate the concrete cross-section to match the existing and treat and seal the cracks.
