Extension of closing date: Quotations are hereby invited for the following: provision of service to record a documentary of the Ocean Terminal Building (OTB) complex for the point automotive terminal project for a period of four (4) weeks. Scope: Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA), a division of Transnet SOC Limited, would like to invite film companies specializing in, conceptualizing, filming and editing of documentaries to quote on filming a documentary of the Ocean Terminal Building (OTB) Complex located at the T-Jetty in the Point Precinct within the Port of Durban. The jetty houses several structures which include amongst others, the OTB, Durmarine Building, M & N Sheds. Specific Activities: • Establish the team of required technical and research personnel required for the production of the documentary films; • Regularly meet with the TNPA team to conceptualize and concretize the expectations of the project and develop the scenario, themes, and the work schedule of film production; • Submission of a preliminary storyline for the documentary for approval; • Onsite Filming; • Photographs of the site, buildings and building details; • Capturing aerial views and harbor views of the site, and buildings; • Interior and exterior visuals, as well as detail views of the buildings; • Capture the details of sculpture, interior mosaics, concrete Y-columns, exterior screens, floors, concrete structure, façade cladding, staircases etc.; • Ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to, in terms of national and local safety regulations; • Interviewing 5 identified TNPA team members; • Interviewing relevant stakeholders that will inform the research and content of the documentary (Docomomo, Local business forum, etc.); • Provide a detailed bibliography and list of research sources and interviews; • Developing of a script with guidance from TNPA team; • Film narration and subtitles shall be prepared in English; • Post-production process of the filming (editing, dubbing, special effects and graphics animations, subtitles, music, etc.); • Submission of two edited drafts for approval; • Submission of at least twenty (20) high quality photos from each project site; • Submission of all original documentary footage and; • Submission of 5 (five) x DVD copies of the film.
