Specifications: Course content: The course must cover the following: - The objectives of First Aid. - Legal and Ethical Consideration Concerning First Aid. - Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. - Dressing, bandages and soft tissues injuries. - Secondary Survey. - Identify Signs, Symptoms and treatment of the following emergencies and injuries; • Choking; • Burns; • Shock, unconsciousness and fainting; • Head and spine injuries; • Chest injuries; • Abdominal injuries; • Bones, Joints and muscle injuries; • Eyes and ears injuries; • Medical conditions; • Poisoning; • Animals and Insects bites and sting; • Environmental Illnesses. - The principles of primary emergency care in all health emergencies for persons in the workplace. - Sustain advanced level of preparedness to deal with emergencies in the workplace. - Assess and manage a multiple injured emergency scene/disaster in the workplace (Triage). - Anatomy and Physiology. - Conduct secondary assessment of the sick or injured person and provide appropriate primary emergency care.
