Proposals are hereby invited for the following: Design (including environmental permitting), supply, construction and commissioning of the 0.5ml/d solar-powered seawater desalination plant, and a 10 year operation and maintenance period, at the Port of East London (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical). This tender is for the design, manufacture, construct, test and commission, operate, and maintain the seawater desalination plant at the Port of East London. The plants, to be transferred to Transnet National Ports Authority’s Port of East London after commissioning, will be operated and maintained by the service provider for a period of 10 years (under a separate contract). The proposed volume of the plant is 0.5 ml/day. The plant should be supplied with renewable energy for its operational. The plant should produce portable water in accordance with SANS 241:2015. The infrastructure and hydraulic loading rates should be designed in a manner that would allow future expansion of the plant to 2 ml/day. Source: ONLINE TENDERS
