Extension of closing date: Mkhondo Local Municipality hereby invites reputable contractors to submit proposals/tenders for the following: Appointment of a Reputable and Professional Service Provider for VAT Review and Collection of other Taxes Services for a Period of Twelve Months. Scope: - VAT Recovery Review on all historical five years as allowed by the VAT Act; - The Review should include the following: VAT Reconciliation, Input and Output VAT verification, Apportionment calculation, recommendations, system reviews; - Review of all penalties/interest raised on the VAT account, and the submission of Request for Remissions on these penalties; - Review of all penalties/interest raised on the other taxes account, and the submission of Request for Remissions on these penalties; - Assist with the year-end VAT reconciliation; - Assist with year-end VAT queries from the Auditor General; - Provide skills transfer to relevant staff and training to the relevant officials of the Department; - Successful Consultant must on monthly basis provide to the Employer Progress reports to ensure that timeous monitoring is achieved, and ensure that monthly progress meetings are held with minutes thereof kept; - The successful bidder will be appointed and remunerated on an output-based and specified basis and is subject to deliverables (e.g. successful recovery) being met.
