Scope of work: Parliament has accumulated a lot of unserviceable computer equipment and old telephone equipment. The equipment has filled up the storeroom. As a result, Parliament wants to dispose the equipment in order to clear the storeroom and create space for other equipment that needs to be stored for future disposal. The suitable service provider must collect, dispose off the equipment, and provide Parliament with the required Certification of secure destruction as proof of destruction of all the equipment in accordance with the National Environmental Management: Waste Amendment Act, 2014 (Act no 26 of 2014) whereby ICT equipment is classified as hazardous waste.
