Re-Advertisement of Tender Number: ARC/05/08/2023. Bids are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of a service provider for the renewal and installation of the existing industrial cold and freezer rooms. Scope: The following work is required at the ARC-AP/Irene abattoir. The abattoir has about 6 industrial cold rooms and 2 industrial freezer rooms. The cooling units have aged and not working and need replacement. There are some repairs that are required on the cold rooms. The major work needed is as follows: - New electrical wiring according to watt usage (mains); - Remove old distribution boards in the deboning and processing area; - New insulated piping system (hard copper) from compressors to the rooms; - Piping insulation shall be of Armaflex type as specified. Armaflex insulation to all systems shall be at least 25 mm thick; - All condensate drainage from evaporators are to be piped to the nearest condensate drain points; - Installation of new condensing units and evaporator units into 7 cold rooms and 4 freezer rooms; - The condensing units and evaporator units should be able to cater to at least 10% more volume of the specified room; - Installation of alert systems (Remote Temperature Monitoring Device) in 9 rooms when temperature is changing; - Installation of the extraction fans in the compressor rooms; - Remove the old door rubbers from 13 doors and install new silicone rubbers and align the doors properly; - General repairs of the cold and freezer rooms (e.g. fastening of loose bolts, alignment of the door rails etc.); - Repair 12 door safety lock mechanism; - Installation of Clear PVC strip curtains in walk in cold rooms and freezer rooms and also at the entrances of the abattoir and Meat Technology area; - Closing of spaces above 4 door chillers; - Paint inside of the cold rooms with food grade paint; - Test the entire installation.
