Formal written price quotations are hereby invited for the following: Tree felling (invasive species control and eradication) and herbicide application to kill tree stumps on Municipal Property in Citrusdal. Specifications: The successful bidder will be required to ensure compliance and implementation of the Cederberg Municipal Invasive Species Monitoring, Control and Eradication Plan, January 2021, available on the Cederberg Municipal website. The predominant invasive species identified at these properties are (to be verified by the project manager on site): - Port Jackson (Acacia saligna); - Blue gum (Eucalyptus globulus); - Silky oak (Grevillea robusta); - Beefwood (Grevillea striata). The complete invasive species clearing, wood chipping work and herbicide application to kill tree stumps to be completed by no later than 29 February 2024. The removal of these invasive species to include the chipping of the bark and branches, therefore a woodchipper must be present for the duration of the invasive clearing work. The company may either remove the trees stems for own use at their own cost or alternatively chip it with the bark and branches. No sale is allowed from site. The chipped material is to be placed at a location by the consultant agreed with the Municipality to be used for composting and fertilizers.
